Anyone with Turtle Beach's?

Right chaps, i picked up some PX21's yesterday (purely because i can use them on ps3 and 360) and all is fine apart from the mic.

I haven't tried them on the ps3 yet but have on the PC and 360. Basically the mic won't work, i can hear myself and record myself on the PC, i can hear myself talking on the 360 but no one else can hear me. Yes i have the cable plugged in the little control box thing and my controller. The standard headset works fine so it's not my controller. And i checked the obvious thing to make sure the mic wasn't muted , i don't even have a little speaker next to my name on XBL like you normally would.

TB's website just suggests trying another controller (not the issue here) or buying one of their cables which i shouldn't have to do and certainly don't want to. Game can have them back if i can't get it to work.
