List me some mods please.

Since my license went on a little holiday last night i've decided to strip the GT and totally rebuild it from the ground up. I've been thinking of some mods to do to it but I want to make it 'stand out'

My current list stands at:

Yamaha 'blue star' brakes,
HEL braided lines,
Twin can system,
One off triple tree with a rear view screen mounted in it,
Ninja wheels,
Black fairing with no marking apart from GT and a big '?' on the side. (Any hyo owners will understand this)
Gixxer shock
Different valves in the forks,
Progressive springs,
Uprated clutch,
Hydraulic clutch conversion,

I've got a full year to do it so please give me ideas.

If the ? is to make people go what cc then it would fail as the frame is easily visible..

But im with Blue...even though I enjoyed my Hyo, sod spending cash on it, theres much more point in getting a decent bike.

Brakes might be worth it but suspect you could improve your stock ones with a careful choice of pads and some fresh fluid. I just for looks then not sure how easy a fit they are. If you need to make up some mounts then (personally) I think it normally looks awful.

Braided lines are up to you. But if you swap the calipers then you will probably need new lines anyway.

Exhaust system is an easy way to lose power or screw the power delivery up if the person making it doesn't have a fair bit of knowledge. I would be more concerned with getting a system that worked rather than getting one to look OK.

Triple trees? Err, we aren't American . Is there really space around the top yoke to have a decent size screen? Do you really want that extra weight hanging from the yokes? Can you put up with a rear view that is reversed compared to mirrors?

Wheels? Best to measure up carefully first to see whether they will fit. Might be easier to just get the complete forks, brakes and wheels from another bike.

As to the paintwork, up to you. But the question mark just suggests something out of the old Batman series, and the frame makes it obviously the 650.

GSXR shock? Does it have an appropriate spring rate and damping for the weight of the Hyosung and for the ratio of the linkage? Probably be better to just get a decent shock built for it (ie, Nitron).

Springs and damping in the forks. Rather than faffing around with guessed springs just send the forks for a suspension specialist and get them set up properly for your bike and weight. Let them choose appropriate springs.

Does the clutch slip? If not then no point in making it heavier with no benefit.

Why the hydraulic clutch conversion? Personally I prefer them for the road (no cable to suddenly fail or get heavy with age), but you appear to more want something tarty for playing silly buggers on, in which case hydraulic clutches seem to take slightly longer to react when you release them which might not be what you want.

Would tend to agree with those who have said not to spend silly money on a budget bike. You will get virtually none of the cost of those mods back should you sell it (and the paintwork would probably reduce the value), and you could spend the money on a more appropriate bike anyway.

Braided lines, and get your suspension set up for you.

I'm amazed at the amount of people that don't get static and rider sag set up for there weight. Personally I think it is one of the most important things you can do for your bike. A full suspension setup by a professional should only cost around £50 as well! It makes me laugh when people spend £££'s on new suspension, even though they never had there original suspension setup properly in the first place. Getting my suspension setup for me is the best thing Iv'e done for my CBR.
