How sensitive is yours?

I got one of those Oxford Boss alarmed disc locks and it's amazingly (too) sensitive. Just a tap on the bars with one finger and it's off!
Ok in the tranquility of the garage but out on the street this will be a problem.
Does anyone have one of these? Is it the same and should I perhaps complain/get another.

I've used one outside for around 3 years and it's been excellent.

Mine has the chain going through it, as well as the rear brake disk.

You could try using a different part of the disc so it could rest on the caliper. Might reduce some movement.
I wouldn't bother.

Get it exchanged.

My old one wasn't. Needed a good knock to set it off.
The aldi one was too sensitive, took batteries out and now gets used on the rear disc.

mate you need to put the lock at the BOTTOM of the disc and let it hang flat. Also have the red part of the lock facing the disc!

Do both of them things and it will never go off randomly!

oh btw I'v had 3 of them due to the 1st two eating the batteries without a month. the 3rd has been fine!

oh also, my other 2 started to refuse to arm the alarm in the cold!

Thanks for all the info, funnily enough it's stopped working after two days! Probably the batteries from what you say.
I'm getting the feeling this product is a bit variable, and actually it's not cheap by any means.

yeah I think they are VERY good locks and my lock has saved my bike at least 3 times so far!I'v talked to a lot of people who have had them for years and never had a problem!

I think there was a problem with a batch of them or something!
