Hi,

I'm new to the site so welcome Smile I have a dtr 125 (dt 125 lcr on log book) anyhow been sorting a few things out on it powervalve new plug oil general service really. But it's now running weird in neutral it revs fine also pull's well in low gears but when it gets to about 6-7k ish rpm it's as if it's limited and just stops reving I can tell it wants to but it wont. After I altered the powervalve it was fine much better than before as it was pinned open and now is standard. Ive changed the plug checked the carb out for any blockages same with the air filter looking for ideas on what to try next has anyone had similar problems?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Thanks

Have you altered the cable adjustments form the control motor in any way? your problem may not be down to the powervalve but could be fuelling or ignition related, I would check both these areas out first. Alright D

The powervalve control motor? I did change the cables as the adjusters where all corroded and had to cut them to get them out. It was fine for a small while, then started playing up. I have a new HTlead and coil on the way will try that.

Make sure that the powervalve is set up as per original specs and adjust the cables to original specs. has the exhaust, carb, ignition been altered in any way, have any mods been carried out to the cylinder head or ports, this will make problem solving a lot easier.
