Not very important in the big scheme of things , but my mighty little cg is now taxed, insured, and new MOT Smile .
i just took it out today for it`s first proper outing on the road since 1984 Shocked Smile (the bike that is, not me)

obviously it has had many new parts and it is old, but it`s been fun !
Even though i know i`ve put a lot of effort into getting it roadworthy, it`s still scary taking it out properly for the first time.
only did about twenty miles, but that was enough Shocked Laughing

another steed saved from the scrap heap Smile

I am going through the same process myself with my CG.

That's a great looking CG you have there!!!

I have had my footpegs down a couple of times unintentionally and it made me crap it. Ground clearance isn't the greatest on these bikes.

I'm in the process of trying to get my CG back on the road also. This is what I did yesterday:

From this:

to this:

I have 8 weeks to finish it and get it MOT'd for when I start uni.

I don't know what it is about CG's but I love them. Thumbs Up

So have you owned the CG all this time or did you buy it reasonably recently as a project?

That's one really tidy CG!
Mine was 1999 and had it in 07 and it looked like shite compared to yours.

i have a ZX6R but i want to keep it in good order and not pull it around to much.
Soooooo the plan was? to have a project bike (a big large single).
like an idiot i went and got an XS400 Thumbs Down Evil or Very Mad .

this came along after i had parted with cash for the XS, but it was to good to miss.
even when it was in it`s tatty state i could see it was fairly sound Smile .
i know why i like them, it`s because even a klutz like me can get them back on the road, and if you shop around parts are reasonably priced, and they dont drink gallons of the liquid gold.
you dont need to buy any super special lubricants or oil to keep them going either!

keep us updated with you re-build Thumbs Up

Had 2 CGs, one is being rebuilt just now into a new frame.

There's a LOT of bodging been done, but it's getting there.

First CG - 1999

Second CG - 1993

Not much left to do... - 1993 CG parts in a 1999 frame

That's one nice CG though.

Take care of it Thumbs Up
