Speedo, help!

My speedo stopped working on my senda sm 03 so i assumed it was the cable. Fitted the new cable and still nothing so does anyone know how to determine what the problem is?

Undo the cable at the wheel end and spin the inner cable by hand while watching the speedo to see if the needle moves, (make sure the inner cable is all the way in). The needle will only move a small amount so watch it carefuly. If it does move, then the problem is more than likely the speedo drive in the front wheel. While the cable is disconnected, raise the wheel off the ground and spin it by hand. If you look inside the drive where the cable fits, you should be able to see something spinning.

Thanks. So if nothing is spinning within the drive would be easier to replace it or repair it?
