Had my first bike lesson today, and was really pleased with the instructor's assessment of my riding. Gave me 4 out of 5 for junctions/roundabouts, and next time I'm going to try a bigger bike. Can't wait Very Happy

As I've only had my CG 5 weeks and did my CBT a few days before that I'm really chuffed Smile

Going to continue riding at every opportunity...just love those random rides for fun.

Good stuff, just keep practicing what they are telling you and look forward to cacking yourself the first time you crack open the throttle on a 100bhp+ bike Thumbs Up .

Nice 1. Best thing you can do is keep the momentum going. Bike-CBT-Lesson-Tests-Joy

Congrats dude,

And on the slightly wetter than a drowned rat note... If you were wearing leather: I can empathize with you! Last time I wore it in the pouring rain it took about three or four days to dry out, and another week and a half for my boots.

...Still had to ride to work in it though...

Since then I've kept a spare pair of shoes at work and a spare pair of socks in my panniers.

Not one in each, that would just be weird, but you catch my drift!

I also bought some waterproof gear! Not too expensive either Smile

Nice to hear I wasn't the only one to get soaked!

I've got textiles, not leathers, so they seem to be dry by this morning Very Happy but not so my boots (think I might be squelching to work in them today...they're currently out in the garden in hope that they can catch some sun before I have to go to work this afternoon!) nor my rucksack...guess I'll just fill all my pockets with stuff and dispense with the lock today then.

Luckily I wasn't going to work yesterday in the downpour, just delivering a friend's birthday present (it was lovely & sunny when I started out)...hope she appreciated my efforts Very Happy

Haha good thinking...and you do need to think about even weight distribution so a sock in each pannier would be ok Wink
