Hi guys,

I hope everyone is in high spirits today as a fool with a motorbike needs some help/advice/inspiration.

I've got a 2010 er6-n, I got it 3 months ago. I binned it 2 months and 30 days ago (I lasted 26 hours) ... the damned thing cost me £1250 to fix (front wheel; crank case; stater; fly wheel and a few other things) ... anyway, I spent a ridiculous amount of money, only to get it back the way it was!!

"Never again!" I said to myself (and my mechanic friend of mine) and touched wood that I would never drop the damn thing again.

So!... dropped the bike the other day Embarassed Rolling Eyes . Arse hole in a Golf Middle Finger Middle Finger pulled out in front of me thinking I was slowing down to let him out of a side road. I was in fact just slowing down for some lights as, if you were in or near Manchester on Tuesday, it was torrential down pour and I didn't fancy a fishtail/aquaplane experience (which I got anyway).

This time, only the grim black plastic and indicator on the left side is cracked, crank case is scuffed (but not cracked like last time), the peg is bent double and the gear linkage might be a little bent, grab rail is bent and scuffed aaaaaand mirrors are minus the mirrors Smile so it's all cosmetic.

My tank survived again and everything else seems sound.

So, this gives me the opportunity to do something exciting (really?).

I need some help and ideas guys...

The bike is Kwaka green (obviously Wink ) and, if possible - I have no idea if it is! - I want to make it more of a streetfighter.

I've not seen anything done to a 2010 but I have seen THIS and it looks pretty tidy! Also, in keeping with the 'Streetfighter' idea I wouldn't mind throwing BLANKA on there, you know?

Anyway, as you can tell, I'm green as hell but keen to spend some cash. Also, I'm going to get myself another little runner just for booting about like as, 2 drops in 3 months is someone, somewhere trying to tell me something.

Yes, I want to do something interesting and yes I'm an idiot.

Any ideas?

Stop breaking it Thumbs Up .

Have it painted Kwak green, get a tail tidy, dump the side fairings then fit an aftermarket headlight and indicators. The headlight on the second one looks good, maybe try something similar with a hornet light etc?

EDIT: the rear shock looks nice and visible, get the spring done in a brighter colour Thumbs Up .

This is the perfect example of why new riders shouldn't buy a new bike, expensive to buy and expensive to fix.

IMO don't spend any more money on it keep it running practice on it, run it into the ground then when you are more competent buy something nice.

Sounds good, I'll see what I can see.

A perfect example indeed. Couldn't give my old man any more reasons to buy second hand but he wasn't having it. I rather keep him sweet unfortunately. Something about noses, faces and spite. x

Top of the list... they were after the first bail but, true to form, always left it for one more weekend.

Silly kahli. x
