Took some pics of my bike today so I don't have to keep using the ones Sash took. Here they are if anyone is interested.

Here is the bike parked exactly as I had the NSR in that pic I used when I was selling it. Tyres got dirty though as there's a building site in my estate still.

In the driveway at my house. It's a bloody nightmare to push the bike up if it's not working

Here's my attempt to look cool. Cool

Here's what I actually look like. Argh put the lid back on I hear you say. Confused

I had a '92 GK76a in the red and black scheme, very nice bike, one of the few I regret selling Sad

Stupidly quick and sound great with a race can, I had a scorpion, excellent price and sound!

How tall are you, reason i ask is i am looking into a 500/600 but being 6ft3 i don't really fit onto the VFR/RVF400 which i like, also likes the ZXR. Never looked into the gixxer until seeing Sash's.

I'm only 5ft 8". Sash says the VFR is quite a bit smaller than the Gixxer. Although the pegs are fairly high on the gixxer, and I'm usually all curled up when riding. Sports 600's tend to be pretty high up. I know on the CBR600 I was on my toes. True Blue says it's the same on his Gixxer 600.

I think you'll find the gsxr a bit small, there one in uni and its smaller than my RS. I can get both feet flat on the floor with bent knee's but I can only just get both feet flat on the floor on my rs.

The vfr & gsxr are similar heights, but the gsxr is alot wider. Most folk assumed it was a 600, but admittedly it was always by folk that didnt know any better Embarassed . Someone asked me the other day if the VFR was a 125!!! *gutted*
The petrol tank & weight I found the biggest difference, i.e. it took £9/£10 to fill it from empty but the vfr is lucky if it takes £6. Got my feet flat on ground on both, just find the vfr easier to shift about.
My B/f is 6'4.. and he loved the gsxr. Had shot of his cbr6 and only my toes touched the ground.

I managed to fit £12 in the tank when I got the Gixxer Sash. It was bone dry at the time though. Sussed out the fuel switch now though so hopefully it doesn't get like that again. Embarassed

That's a fair point, if your b/f went around on it alot then there wouldn't be any problems as he was pretty tall. The rearsets are incredibly high on the bike. Probably my favourite part though!

That's funny about the 125 bit though. Surprised Just kidding. Razz

Hey Sash,

Well i was out on a little (well 360+ mile) run yesterday and i bumped into a strange VFR owner. He lives 100 miles from me yet i bump into him (and you) 300 miles form home at the NEC, and then again 200 miles away in the lakes somewhere. All unplanned. Only other time we met was when he came up here on his RS125 days.

Either way, its looking hopeful, can fit on the VFR a bit better than i expected so i may be tempted with the VFR/RVF's again. Price dependant.

Attatched is a picture of that strangers bike. Very Happy

Not as such Alex, me an a lad called Paul arrived about 15mins before the rest of the group, then all of a sudden 3 kwaks pull in though "that looks like Rob's new one" then Jimmy pulled up behind.

Pulled up his visor and in typical Jimmy style said "Alright Craig!" Very Happy

When Rob and James had RS125's they came up here one day, few weeks after that i bumped into him at the Honda stand at the NEC (300 miles from my house) and then Sunday just sorta met again (again 200 miles from my house).

We have being planning a meet up / ride out for awhile but never got round to it. Razz

And yep Yam's he uses it, although looks like he only does what i do and rides one big ride then cleans for a week then rides again. Very Happy

Ta Honey Wink
Always say the right things x

Although am thinking now my leathers may have been slightly lacking in silver and chome !

Bike looks good as ever, but I have managed to get over it - I think

Took me ages to get used to those pegs again after running around on the VFR and then going back on to bring it to falkirk - no idea how i made it to brummy and back. But if Stu can cope, then anyone can.

Ok, someone is going to have to tell me how I view that pic of Jimmi v the McNinjas Embarassed D'oh
