Hi ,Newbie, hope this has,nt been covered before, suz 125 intruder, piston will not push back into caliper,even using two large levers,thought it may be seized so pulled brake lever which made it worse,can,t get the old pads back in now,do i open the nipple/take top off res. use a g clamp ??? thanks for any replies

Sounds like it may be time to strip and clean the calipers. The good news is that it's pretty simple to do.

First of all though, try scrubbing the piston with a soft tooth brush and some brake fluid to clean it up. Then try and push the piston back in. If it goes in a bit then pump it back out slightly then push it back in. Work it in and out until hopefully it goes all the way back in. Some people say take the lid off the brake reservoir as well but wrap an old rag around it in case of spillages. Don't open the bleed nipple as you could introduce air in to the system if you're unsure as to what you're doing.

If that doesn't work it's time take the seals out, clean behind them and put new seals in.

Hi used a g clamp to push piston back no probs, thought the levers would have worked :learning all the time:thanks for info
