I took out an insurance policy last year and got the certificate sent by email. However it was saved on my old computer which went pop. I have totally forgotten which company I insured with. Any ideas how to find out?

Credit card statement or bank stayement?

Failing that run a quote through gocompare and ring the chespest quote up and ask if they know you ha ha!

I was in the same situation a few months ago... what I did was find a list of insurers after Googling and just looking at the logos to see if they seemed familiar Razz

You'll be able to find it by looking through your old bank statements and credit card statements. You'll have some idea of how much you paid which narrows it down quite a lot.

You're going to need to look through your statements (be it paper statements or online statements) to find the transaction, if you can't find it then are you 100% certain you actually took out the policy?

Does askmid.com show you as being currently insured?

Suggestion for ya - Find a cop car with ANPR. Speed past it, and when they pull ya over. Ask who they believe you are insured with.

askMID offer a service for £3.50, which provides you with the insurer, policy holders name and vehicle information. It is meant for accidents but I can't see why it wouldn't work regardless if you fail to procure anything from your bank statements.

Is there no contact No's on the certificate.... They usually have at least the claim line No on there.
Just google that... Or even ring it.

If it was emailed to you could well be Ebike.
