Been given a 3G (well it was originally mine) & just replaced the front back housing but noticed the receiver is very low. Can only hear if i hold it tight to my ear. Had a search but found no fixes, most people just saying they sent it back. Are there any apps i should know about that increase the volume? I tried one where you edit the iphone's folders but didn't seem to work. There was one where you could adjust the volume values but couldn't find it.

yes, i've adjusted volume in call, turned sound check off & make sure nothing is blocking the speaker. Thumbs Up

Thanks.

P.S The top of the digitizer doesn't sit flush, is this because of my after-market battery cover? Really bugging me.

Found the problem, the after market housing i bought had a silver grill over the in-call speaker (top of screen) & although it looked like a grill it had no gaps whatsoever so sound could only pass around the edges & thus i had a quiet speaker. Removed it & the sound is much better.

Thumbs Up

I checked nothing was blocking the speaker. Update, something was blocking the speaker.

Fail.

You wouldn't think the grill blocks the speaker tho. Not quite sure why they made them like they did.
