Hi again,

now my yz125 is gone im after maybe a 250f or 450, although 2 strokes are fun - im miss the old 4 for some reason (although i know i'll regret when i drop her after the 52nd time in a single race Laughing )

Im currently looking at '08 models, im leaning towards an '08 husky TE450 because i do like the close ratio tranny for the woods.

im looking for something that can do H&h and the odd B.E.C round that i can do.

anybody ever rode a husky?

No. But I'd advise you against a 4T as you're 100% guaranteed to drown your bike. And the rebuilds on 4T's cost more. I've had to rebuild three engines this month already as 4T's are particularly prone to being drowned Very Happy

On a serious note, no. But I've got a hankering for the sleeved down 380...

I've never managed to drown a bike, 2 or 4 stroke, and I have been in moderately deep water a few times, though not all the time.

Personally I find at my level I doubt I'd be to worried about the close ratio gearbox on a big 4 stroke endurobike because they've got wide enough range of power that I've got more than enough for my needs.

I would like another big 4 stroke competition bike sometime, but it'd definitely only be as a second bike to a 2 stroke enduro.
I believe you can get the KTMs with different ratios if that's important to you - but a lot rarer in the UK than the US.

Generally, from what I've seen all the 450 4 stroke enduro bikes aren't too far off - and the 250s tend to be fairly similar at least for the latest competitive models go.
If I was sticking to a 4 stroke, I think for enduro I'd be tempted for a 250f, maybe big bored, or possibly consider that sleeved down - but then as I say, partly because I don't feel I could make decent use of the bigger bike.
If I had some nice fast American trails to play with, definitely like a big competition thumper to abuse.

Should've put [/sarcasm] at end of last post Mr. Green
