Old school CG?

Looks very good for it's age, keep it clean and you'll have no trouble selling it for what you paid for it. Remember to check the oil frequently. Little bikes tend to get through it quite quickly and don't hold very much. Of course the penalty for running out it a ruined bike... Keep on top of checking the tire pressures as you never know when you might get a puncture, and its better to find out in your garage than half way round a corner Wink Check the chain tension regularly and buy some chain lube and the bike will probably outlast you Thumbs Up

Another CG Thumbs Up

That looks to be a nice tidy one, if it runs as well as it looks then you cant go far wrong with it.

As has been said, you need to keep up with the oil changes, all the filters just wash out and get put back so nice and cheap to look after.

On mine i have just added a small fuel filter, £1.50 from the local motor factors and it will stop it dragging a load of crud out of the bottom of the tank when i use reserve Thumbs Up

it`s not the most sophisticated of bikes and the gear-box is a bit arcaic, but ther`e just great Smile .

been out on the B-roads today on mine, and my brother was on his EN 450, i had no trouble keeping up Smile

cheers for putting picture on in a more user friendly way, computers have never been my strong point.
Am pleased to hear other people still run the older ones as it makes all the claims about it more realistic. There needs to be some sort of old school cg rally, rode past a big group of old suzuki's the other day and it looked like fun. Cheers for the upkeep advice, I shall perform an oil change this evening and life will be good Smile

A CG from the days when they really were indestructible (later ones aren't as good, IMHO). Must be a 6 volter, like the one I had. Can't believe it's in that nick after (what must surely be about) 30 years.

yeah 6 volts and exactly 30 years old. Only problems are a glut of things wearing out within a few weeks of each other so should be good for a fair while now. I know of someone with a 1976 one which got for a trip down memory lane but runs it almost as often as his harley.
