Any at all, they are much of a muchness unless you go out and buy something like engine ice.

You could have a look at what the bike manufacturer recommends but I tend to just match the colour with whatever was already in there.

If you want to get all technical then take a look here https://www.eetcorp.com/antifreeze/Coolants_matrix.pdf

I've been told that people rarely do anything with coolant, it's a closed circuit so it won't disappear as such.

If of course you do need some, just use some ready mixed cheap shit, they rarely have better thermal properties than water only the added bonus of not freezing!

Dude your reading too much into it. Engine ice is great, for as long as we don't have minus temperatures. It provides no protection at all.

Just plain old antifreeze / coolant is all you need.

There is more to it than most people can be arsed to find out about.

Some are designed for mixed metallurgy engines, such as a steel block and alloy head, i'm not sure how much that applies to bikes, but definately matters in cars depending on age.

Antifreeze needs to be mixed with water in order to provide the correct ability to cool effectively. Antifreeze alone (ethylene glycol + additives) is a shite heat conductor, hence why we don't use it neat.

Of course, we need it not to freeze in winter, hence why we can't use pure water.

Also, water reacts with metal so it's important - if you are mixing it yourself - to use distilled or deionised water to prevent corrosion inside your engine.

Colour is meaningless as it is just an added dye.

It is cheaper to find somewhere that sells deionised water for other purposes, it should be pennies if they aren't targetting a motorist market (like halfrauds). For example the garden centre across the road sells 5L deionised water for £2.

Buy the antifreeze online somewhere to save on that.

Bikes use relatively small volumes, so cost isnt usually the issue, but just thought i'd mention.
