(2001 NSR 125)
i've finally got the time to start repairing my bike after the accident, I planned to get it running today but had one problem:- No Spark Sad

I went out and bought a new plug today but it still wouldn't start.

The bike was started just after the accident and worked fine, I had the engine running myself three days later and it also ran fine, a few weeks later i tried to run it again but the battery was flat so that was recharged, I tried again today with a full battery but still no luck Sad I pulled the spark plug out and then reatached the spark lead, started the bike and got no spark at all from the plug.
Does anybody have any idea where the problem could be and how i could fix it?
cheers

I bet youve done something silly like leaving it in gear while trying to start it Razz

To be honest, if it was working and now isnt despite not being ridden id be tempted to check the coils, if it still dont work then id start checking fuses. Then id ask keith Wink

Hi

You were holding the plug against the engine while looking for a spark?

The coils you need to check with a multimeter, and check the resistance over each of the 2 circuits. There is a few pages in the manual on checking the ignition system. Worth just going through that.

All the best

Keith
