On the speedo is the outer numbers in mph?

What makes you think that it is reading in km?

The bike could be an import.

Edit: I have checked my owners manual and you can not change the odometer to and from kilometres and MPH.

Hi

Yes the outer figures are in mph. I think its in kilometres because Im getting ridiculous figures from a tankful of petrol. Like approaching 300 (miles?) also I did a check against a known distance and its over-reading by a considerable margin.
Im concerned because the mileage is going up fast and it will undoubtedly affect the resale value of the bike.

Hi

Quick google suggests it is possible but can't find anything saying how to on a Bandit. Does it say anything in the owners handbook?

If not on the SV650 you put it to the odo screen and hold down the adj button for a while (some things say 5 seconds, others say far longer) and when you release it, it changes over. I would guess the Bandit is something similar.

This might help:-

All the best

I have been looking in my owners manual and can't find anything about changing it from kilometres to MPH.
