Right, this will probably be A monthly updated thread, with things added every month at the end-ish (payday) but this payday I made A start getting stuff I want, so I guess it's time to start the thread Smile

Anyway, I've had the bike about 2 months now, and have been really looking after it, wash and wax every other sunday. I ride it every day to commute and for fun, and think it's brilliant.

Here it was as I bought it; the shop had done the paint job so I was the first owner of the HRC colours.

https://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu53/BikerJones/IMG_0293.jpg

Massive exhaust, definitely one of the first things that will need changing, however I don't want to draw too much attention to myself because I don't like the police.

Just after A wash:

Poor plate photoshopping Laughing

https://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu53/BikerJones/IMG_0309e.jpg

New levers arrived today:

https://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu53/BikerJones/IMG_0347.jpg

Only the fake ones, very pleased nonetheless, and for £31.99! Great quality it seems.

Old levers:

New levers

https://i633.photobucket.com/albums/uu53/BikerJones/IMG_0351.jpg

That's it so far, any ideas as to what to do next? I am erring on whether to get a colour-matched white rear hugger, don't know if it will seem too much.

Definitely want mini indicators, need to source a cool, decent pair.

Can, depending on price etc.

Tail tidy, although I have no idea where to source this.

Rearsets maybe , if I can get a decent pair and they are worth it.

Braided lines definitely, sooner rather than later; what are the best?

Cheers guys, hope you like it, if interest is shown I will keep updating this.

I got the same levers for my NC30, do you not find them very close to the outside of the bars? When you squeeze them do they end up near the top of the bar? Does the switch activate on the clutch, ie can you start the bike with the clutch in but not in neutral?

Nice other wise, only thing I never liked about the CBR was the double bench seat.

Looks sweet, next thing would be to remove those gay motogp stickers from the levers, obviously the can, maybe some sort of tail tidy and different indicators. Other than that looks pretty cool as is Thumbs Up

The levers are close to the end of the bar yes, it's quite annoying at first, I thought they would be closer to the 'center' of the bike if you know what I mean.

CHR15, I prefer the 'Danmoto' GP style can, extremely similar though, even in price.

The only question is if it will be too loud Laughing

mini indis - definitely wanted, can you find me some decent ones? I have no idea what to look for.

new end can - Also definite, when I get paid.

get rid of the grab rail - Not sure about this, will have a look what it looks like off and on. Wont there be holes?

remove pillion pegs - can't, pillion about once every two weeks

undertray - Is this tantamount to a tail tidy? If so, definite.

7x5 - ditto

get rid of the centre stand - Nah, It's useful!

rear hugger - Will do, don't know whether to get it colour matched white, red or blue though? Thought about a carbon one but think that would ruin the look of the bike.

fit a k+n / dynojet kit - How much is this likely to cost?

braided lines - Definite, HEL seem to be a good brand?

Cheers man

Very nice! Thumbs Up

I had the same bike as my first but without the fancy paintjob.

Here's a picture after I'd done all me mods etc.

https://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/hphotos-ak-snc1/hs035.snc1/3274_71706113388_514398388_1557830_1016746_n.jpg

For the exhaust I went for Fuel, can't recommend them enough. Someone else on here bought one recently as well, Noxious89123 I believe.

It was about £130.

https://www.fuelexhausts.com/Results.cfm?scndctgry_ID=72 (Don't buy the budget one, they don't have removable baffles.)

It was fairly loud and spat flames. Cool I would do a video but I don't have it anymore, in fact, it's dead, the guy I sold it to wrote it off. Sad

The RR isn't as comfortable, more pressure on the wrists, harder seat etc. It's easier to flick into the corners as it's a bit lighter. It's a little bit quicker but hardly noticeable on the road. It took a bit of getting used too but I'm glad I upgraded. Very Happy

And I just remembered, for the grab rail, you can get grab rail blanks. Not sure if they do them for the CBRF.... They do for the Hornet and I've just bought some for 30 quid. Thumbs Up

Oh and learn to wheelie Wink

I rode with 2 guys when I was on the Hornet who had bought stubbied exhausts like the one you mentioned, and it was either just as loud or quieter. I think they come with extra padding/baffling inside. So it's more a looks thing.

Besides, you can stubby it to whatever size you want Wink

Molly, come and teach me Wink I should have came to the BBQ, but I really have to save money at the moment, going to Magaluf next week with the lads Laughing Plus I didn't know if I was invited really, haha!

I'm going to give the can thing some thought, because on A serious note I cannot attract too much attention because of pigs+restriction etc.

The grab rail thing sounds like a cool cheap mod mind, cheers gangsters Cool

And oh, you like the bike do you? How about some F'cking karma then Wink

I'd say it depends on the po-po around you. In my area they're pretty good tbh. The things I've done and got away with Laughing

It is. My things were 30 quid delivered and I'll be able to sell the grab rail for at least 10 quid, so for 20 quid it'll make the back end look much better!

Do I have to refer to the BCF rulebook? Wink

I'd recommend a scorpion can to anyone who'd care to listen to me. They look decent, don't cost that much (esp used), sound great and look simple enough to stubby when I can be arsed to get round to it.

Naff quality phone vid FTW Thumbs Up .

Red Bull shock canister wrap:
As simple as it looks - loosen the shock canister, cut open the can and cover the inside in tape to stop it scratching anything, cut it to size and wrap the canister with it before tightening it back down.

Jobs a good un' Thumbs Up .
