Thought I'd post up a few pics (just to photo whore of course!) and a little report as i dont notice many trackday reports on here yet im sure plenty of us are doing em..

Got stuck in the novice group for 3 sessions resulting in pics like this.. hehe

basically i rolled up a little late at around 8.20 expecting to sign on and get sorted for a 9.30 start like last month.. oh no, i arrive to the briefing in mid swing and end up getting stuffed into the novices as inters is chockablock. Mad

1st session was a bit iffy, 2nd wasnt great, 3rd was much better but i was having to make some colourful overtakes and i could see it getting dangerous so i had a moan and the guy agreed to get me moved up along with a couple of guys that were sharing our garage for the day. you know somethings wrong when you start lapping the whole group :/

once i got moved up i had a great day Smile

inters had all my m8s in so it was nice to be able to have a bit of a tussle with them, although one of them is a 125 racer who spends his life at mallory park with the EMRA so no chance of keeping up with him, but his m8 on a 600 ninja was a similar pace to me so we had a good little battle when we caught up to eachother

had a couple of issues during the day, 1st my exhaust started blowing. i traced the sound to find the weld had cracked at the collector/bracket. doh. bit of alu tape got me through the day but looks like i've gotta get some new downpipes or get these welded before my next one.

2nd issue was something came off someones bike down the end of the main straight by the pit exit. a guy in front of me managed to catch it sending it flying backwards and under my tyre at 130+ which then flicked it up and took a huge chunk out of my bellypan :/

still coulda hit me so i'll count myself lucky on that one.

rest of the day was brilliant, times were coming down, and i had started touching down in places i hadnt before so speeds obviously going up which is great. still got plenty to work on though but im currently doing a 1.05 lap which i reckon isnt bad going as i've only been round mallory twice. if i can get near 1.02 on this old steelie i'll be happy Smile

managed to do a bit of instructing too as one of the guys sharing our garage on a road going R1 wasnt too sure about lines etc.. so i gave him some tips and let him follow me for a few laps whilst i warmed my tyres so he could see the lines. he did say once id warmed my tyres i kinda buggered off but he did say that it really helped him to see where i was positioning myself and where i was shifting. twas nice to give someone a hand Smile

here are some of my favourite pics

bandaged up the exaust and was at cadwell on monday, awesome day with the CBR 6ers club.. not getting pics til sunday tho so hopefully i'll have some good ones. unfortunately i was a bit sedate over the mountain so i doubt there are any good wheelie shots Sad but i did have the front in the air a few times so you never know

i've asked him the same thing, didnt really have a good answer for it.

i think its mainly due to the fact me and his other m8s are all inter riders so he prefers being with us.

he doesnt push himself on a trackday anyway and funnily enough he's faster on his 125 than he is on his 600.

one thing he is tho is smooth. doesnt 'look' fast but when he wants to he just disappears Smile
