Right my motherboard has bittern the dust (well the raid controller has).
I had been wanting to upgrade to an i7 for a while so this is the perfect excuse.
Currently it Have a q6600 G0 stepping 2.4ghz - running at 3.2ghz under water.
4x1gb DDR2 800mhz
4x500gb western digital cavalier black in RAID 1+0 (well not any more)
8800GTS 640mb
Thermaltake Kandalf case
2x 22in HP monitors
Soundblaster X-Fi Xtreme Audio
Inspire T7700 7.1 speakers
On the to buy list
i7 930 2.8ghz (should be good for 4ghz+ under water)
3X2gb DDR3 1600mhz, Corsair XMS?
Motherboard - (looking at Asus P6X58D-E)
Sata Blu-Ray Drive
PCI Wifi Card
In future another 8800GTS to SLI with.
I'm also going to spray the inside of my Case as it doesn't have a finsh on it and considering how many windows it as it make it look crappy.
This thread is for any suggestions and to document the build. Hopefully will be ready by next week for Starcraft 2 which I have been waiting 12 years for

It all arrived today
Bad news my Waterblock doesn't fit, I thought it might have but no, I have ordered another one and some new tubing which should be here tuesday which Strangely is the day SC2 comes out.
I could put it together with the stock cooler but it needs access to the rear of the Mobo to fit the Watercooling. so there is no point. As I would have to take it all apart again. ____________________ Well, you know what they say. If you want to save the world, you have to push a few old ladies down the stairs.

I had to wait over a week for the new water block but it is finally here,
I put it together last night but have problems with it not posting (either memory not seated properly or the BIOS update that cured it, it wouldn't post with 6gb of ram) and the water cooling leaking and the new water block, I replaced the o rings in it and it was fine.
I had to send the PCI WIFI card back as it wouldn't fit with the SLI, I ordered a PCI-e x1.0 which fits fine.
In the mean time I won a new 8800gts for £36 +p&p It was finally finished and SC2 installed around 2am last night so haven't had a chance to play it yet.
I tried running the Windows rating thing before I went to bed and both times it rebooted, I'm worried my 800w PSU is not up to the job which is a kick in the teeth, that'll be another £100. I'll see what happens when I try SC2 tonight.
Only picture I have, this was how I left it Tuesday Night.
