The Hampshire police MCC Hare and Hounds I'd mentioned elsewhere is more conveniently located for the South East lot:
https://enduronews.com/regs/ENDURO%2002%2010%20%20SUPP%20REGS.doc

However, enduro land, which is at Lemmington Spa on the same day has some advantages.
https://www.enduroland.co.uk/Events.htm *
You get longer on track, with less urgency to complete laps as quickly as possible.
Also allows more of the 'social' aspect I think Blue was hoping for.
This one should certainly be better for newbs that haven't ridden on any tracks (ie I know blue has done Tonymoto, but others might be better here) and offers the option to swap bikes etc.
I doubt this will be an amazing track for enduroland (their home one is pretty nice, with a decent variation), but generally they're not bad.
£40 for a non-membership day ticket is less than the Hare & Hounds.

I'm happy to do either.
Lifts from reading for a donation towards van costs if anyone's interested.

* More details hopefully on the main page when they update - I'm presuming it's not a 'prebook' day or anything.

I'd be tempted, but enduroland is a bloody long way from Portsmouth, hmmm.

While my van isn't that fast/efficient, people are welcome to chuck bikes in there to save some money (if not getting up early) as it's probably fairly 'on the way' - should be able to get six dirt bikes in there easily enough.
Also welcome to sleep on my floor/sofa the night before, though not sure it's worth it for the time saved. Could even look at camping up there, but not sure they offer it for that weekend.

Should have some spare time next week if you want a hand fixing it.

Not me, I am a miserable antisocial cnut!! Laughing

As for enduroland or the H&H ... if I wanted to fanny about - which it sounds more what enduroland is like!?!!? - then I'd go laning ... if I want to try my hand at competition*, then the H&H is the only way forward!! Thumbs Up

*I appreciate I have no hope of winning as I am such a nonse, but I mean take part, just to see what it is like and try my best!!
Thumbs Up

Enduroland is a hare and hounds style marked out course, there are plenty of fast people there - just as fast as you'll meet at an actual enduro generally.

However, if you're wanting a bit of competition with people you know, then it's going to be better as you can meet at the end of a lap, while you tend to get out of kilter a bit in a Hare and Hounds, then not meet each other again.

<shrugs>, I'm happy enough either way Smile.

It would be best if a bunch of us wanted to go, but I don't expect that will be the case and I doubt we would all be the same pace either.

For instance if Silky666 went, then he would be significantly slower than anyone else that might go from here ... and we can't be expected to wait around for him ..... can we?!!? .... Confused

Multijoy and myself could well be tempted by the lift to Enduroland - assuming the entry fee is per bike rather than per person? And I reckon I'd probably be the slowest by a long way Sad

Meh, if you guys want to go to Enduroland, then it's fine by me ... there will always be another enduro (I am not overly hungry to do one, but would do one)!! Thumbs Up

Yea, that's the thing - I suspect even given a similar pace one of us would drop the bike on the first lap or whatever, then wouldn't see the rest for the next few hours, making it a bit irrelevant to go with others Smile.

This isn't so much of a trackday compared to a race, it's like comparing an open pitlane trackday to a hottrax endurance event with similar level riders - not too far different.

I think entry is per bike, but not 100% sure (it used to be, can't remember the last time I went).
I'm still undecided, but if a few want a lift, probably be better for me to do enduroland on a value basis, what with being poor etc Smile.

Was only fixed at around 7pm Sunday night, stripped the entire engine and checked everything, no excessive damage or wear at all really and it runs/sounds spot on. I've got to do a major service before I can ride it properly but it's all good now and running well, mostly on one wheel as usual hehe... third gear flamingo wheelies across a field with no kit or helmet on... safe!

A bit further away, but this looks interesting... '5 out of 5' difficulty wise they say, must be done in teams of 2 due to being 6 hours and nasty terrain.
https://www.tbec.co.uk/buttsquarry-round-7/

Though, looking at some of the youtube footage, hmmm, maybe could do with getting some more recent practice in - looks quite gnarly!

Maybe next year, then.

Think I might just do the Hare and hounds for ease, now.

Prob not, I'm out all day and evening sat drinking and fighting off the posh girls at goodwood Wink then Sunday i need to do some DIY else my flat will never progress! Anyway WR needs a full service before I next ride and I'm not gonna get time to do that by weekend. I may do some solo laning Sunday afternoon on the AT tho.

Will prob be out next weekend though!
