Tow bar recommendations

Does any one have any experances with removable tow bars, l,ve seen a few kits with removable swan neck type are they any good or is a fixed ball type one better?

They are pretty good, just slightly more expensive. I've towed an 18' caravan with no problems on a removable Towsure one.

The better ones are completely hidden when not attached, Bosal are a good brand but to be honest it depends on your car.

Some bike carriers won't work with the removable bars.

They tend to bugger around with the wiring loom with snaplock connectors when fitted. Best try not to think about this.

What are you planning to tow?

edit: also, make sure you remove it after every time you use it and keep it greased. Trying to remove a detachable towbar after it's seized in place is a pig, trust me.
