Oh yes. The pinky one has joined the V twin riders and splashed out on this baby. Excuse the crap pic quality but the pics were taken as it started to get dark with the camera phone. Bike needs a bit of a clean but I can do that.

In comparison the the GSXR its a whole different animal. Where the GSXR had bundles of power in high revs this thing is all low and mid range torque. Sounds like thunder too!

Saddly there is no where else to park here. The bastards at the council wont let us park them in the land out the front. We get sent nasty letters about it. (Even tho the chav upstairs parks her scooter there without a word)

There is also CCTV pointing at the bikes at all times (not that it helped when someone bent the peg bracket on the GSXR a few weeks back)

It is a side road with nothing but the entrance to the flats and a few garages so very little in the way of traffic. Added to the Fuck Off chains, Disc lock and the new one is datatool alarmed. Old one is standard alarmed. So far.... Touch wood!

Congrats again Smile
Very nice bike.
Just be careful until you get used to it. They're very easy to go fast on and you don't notice the speed because it feels like you're doing 40 at 60.

Will look forward to the wheelie vids.

your right about the speed. The gsxr was fast but it felt like you were going fast. Sitting at 70 on the way home on the VTR felt like I was crawling.

Hehe yep.
One thing i do love though is the engine braking. Never used the brakes so little on a bike before.

ha ha. I know. Bloody chain looks tight too! Paxman, them black blobs on the floor are gouges in the road surface from the gsxr's side stand believe it or not! The rest is oil from the cages. Its a comunal parking area. Will get a pic up from summer when i'm at the pc next.

The GSXR was only a long term loan from a friend. It was his spare hack and offered me the use of her until I sorted out my own ride.

EDIT: The pic in question:

https://img.photobucket.com/albums/v494/be1ly/new/CIMG0215.jpg

The floor where the bikes are parked is littered with little dots like that. They just dont build roads strong enough these days!

I'd love too but we are saving for a deposit for a house at the mo so now % have my own bike I'll be ploughing any spare cash into the house fund. Doesn't stop me looking tho.

The bike is standard. Which surprised me so I'll get braided lines on her next and save the cans for another time

Does feel good to know that I have a bike out there that I dont have to part with in a hurry. I appreciate the loan I had from the friend and he did say he was in no hurry to get the bike back but...... Every time I put something onto the bike. clutch cable, new battery, electrics fixed, back tyre. All things that are consumable and needed to keep a bike on the road, I felt that I was spending money on a bike I have to give back sometime.

Something breaks on my bike I'll have to pay for it to be fixed just the same but it will be mine and not someone elses bike.

Ok, i tried but i can't do it.
I have to say it.
You will have to respray the bike. I'm pretty sure black is the slowest colour for the firestorms. Almost as slow as the red one. Almost.
