Took the little Honda CG125 on a rally/bike run yesterday.
when I got th CG it`s MOT, the tester gave me a flyer for this event.
So at Washbrook Motorcycles (Suffolk) yesterday morning at 10am with about a hundred other older bikes (25 years+) off for a 40 mile run.
Most of the bikes were old Brits, but the older Japs were well represented, especially two strokes . and a smattering of old Italian hardware.
99% of the riders fitted the old British bike rider profile ie black waxed cotton Belstaff jackets, open faced bash-hats, & grey beards
Most of the roads were B-roads which was a blessing as this meant that I was able to stay ahead of a very tidy RD 500 v4 and a RG500 square4 .
I`ll bet that`s the first time in history, that has happened
The run finished up in the local pub and I forced myself to eat a nice fat burger and drink cold Guinness .
What I was thinking was? was there anybody else from this forum there?, after all I would`nt recognise them from Adam!
It was for charity so i was happy to go along, and the little CG did`nt shame herself at all .
It was nothing to racy or to long and the route was a good one with a wide variety of types of roads and I was home at a reasonable time.
So i will put it down for next year if i still have the little Honda.
