Need to find a address from a van registration

Basically my girlfriend had her parked car crashed into and the driver drove off. She found out when someone knocked at the door and told her. They managed to get the reg and obviously going through insurance but would like the address of the place.

Any ideas? Karma

inform the police and insurance and they will sort it for you, they wont tell you to prevent any vigilante/retribution from yourselves..

Report it to the Police and they will deal with it accordingly. The bastard who drove off will then get charged with driving away from the scene of an accident as well. Thumbs Up

You don't know that the registration you were given is actually that of the vehicle which crashed into your girlfriends car.

For all you know, someone hit her car and the driver decided to blame it on a random vehicle they saw passing, by knocking on your door and giving you the registration of the random vehicle they've got themselves enough time to repair their vehicle and get away with it. Wink

Save the shitting on door steps for until you know for sure whose door step you need to shit on. Thumbs Up

Maybe I should of been more clear.

The police and insurance are involved and it's being dealt with. The car reg was given by a neighbour and when checked online it matched the van.

There'll presumably be matching damage.

Bear in mind that in a big old rumbly van that weighs 2500kg, it's quite easy to not notice when you bump things.
