Fairly Obscure films worth watching

Some of my favourite films in my collection are ones which I stumbled on quite by chance, That I didn't watch due to advertisements or being on TV. I'm sure there are tons of films out there that are worth a watch but finding them is a laborious process so, I'm looking for some recommendations.

Here are some of mine that I expect a lot of people may not have seen or heard of but I really enjoyed:

Pan's Labyrinth is highly recommended, unfortunately it's in Spanish, so you will need subtitles.

The Atomic Cafe - (IMDB says it all) Disturbing collection of 1940s and 1950s United States government issued propaganda films designed to reassure Americans that the atomic bomb was not a threat to their safety. Unintentionally hilarious.

(yes, I tend to like seeing the end of the world)

Ravenous - A period horror movie! A remote army outpost in California circa 1848 comes under attack from cannibals.

If you like city of god, you will love Tropa de Elite.

It's about the SAS like elite police force in Brazil who have to take control of the slums in time for the Pope's visit.

It manages to combine action movie, with intelligent social commentary.
