WIn7 DVD region thing

I thought this was gone the way of the dodo. But effectively what program do you guys use so your Win7 machine can play DVDs from any region you fancy? Half my collection is from the US the other half a collection of Asia and UK DVDs.

i use GOM player or Media player classic Home cinema. plays virtually anything. not to sure how it does with regional DVD's though.
DVD shrink can copy and remove the region on the DVD.

VLC media player has been fairly good for me so far Plays some right dodgy DVD's
