Hello all,
The clips on my jacket have started to scratch the tank. Can anyone recommend a protective cover to fit the tank - Alternative is to ride naked which would be a bad sight for all to see Very Happy

Should fit, the 400 and 600 are the same size right?

https://www.intobikes.co.uk/products/001166/001860/Bagster_Tank_Cover_suitable_for_Kawasaki_ZZR600_ZX600_E6_1997

Pretty expensive though Laughing

Otherwise I just have a generic kawasaki tank protector on the 600

I wouldn't bother with a Bagster tank cover, unless you have Bagster type luggage to fit to it.

Personally, i'd go with a stick on Tank Pad like these (for example, millions of styles/colours/prices available). I've always stuck one of these on my bikes to protect the tank, never got any zip related scratches.

Here you can see one stuck to the tank of my old Gixer - i always went for a fairly chunky one as a)i was in the (bad) habit of sitting quite far forward in the seat, and b) my big fat belly hung over the tank.

Might be able to get that shark skins(?) stuff too. It's like adhesive cling film but thicker. Will stop scratches and can be peeled off and replaced with ease if it gets scruffy.
