Hi, everyone. Just thought I'd introduce myself seen as I've been a lurker on here for (quite!) a wee while but until now have neither registered nor posted.

My name's Mark, I'm 22 and just passed Mod 2 of DAS on Friday - winner! I've been buzzing around on my CG for the past year or so in Dundee (I'm at uni there). We've covered many, many miles together and endured some embarrassing moments (namely filtering to the front of a long queue having made it as far as I did with the fuel tap in the 'off' position, having the bike cough & choke itself off, trying countless times to kick her back into life still failing to realise the fuel was off, having the lights go a full red to red cycle then suffering severe abuse at the hands of said queue dwellers - thank fuck for helmet-endowed anonymity!) and, as much as I do love her, the time has come to move on. A DRZ400sm's in the pipeline, I reckon...

Anyway, that's me.

Cheers, guys.

Mark Thumbs Up

Hey,
Heh, i think we'v all been there at some point with fuel taps and reserves (namely me "breaking down" 3 times in one trip home not realising my new bike had hit the reserve and every time it died and went on the stand for me to kick the tires a little fuel tipped into the main tank heh).

Anywho, nice to have you about and as a fellow student i'm sure you'll find much money to be saved with help working on the bikes and such Smile

Best regards

-Jvr

Haha, oh dear, pity you hadn't just kicked it all the way home, eh! I'm glad to hear I'm not the only one who's done it!

Off Glasgow way tomorrow night to have a look at a DRZ - it looks beautiful in the pictures and the seller seems decent so let's hope it's a winner Thumbs Up .

Cheers for welcoming me on board. Like you say, let's hope we can have a laugh and save some pennies!

Mark

I'm glad the wee story gave you a chuckle, Clanger - what a horrible moment! Haha, don't worry, man, the CG's been lovingly cared for and, as stated above, I do love her to bits! 9 horses can only keep one entertained for so long, however!

I'll be sure to put up pics of what will hopefully be my new bike in the next few days...

Thanks for all the welcomes, guys, I appreciate it Thumbs Up

Cheers,

Mark
