Any twin cyl supermoto FTW!
Most people want lightness at the top of the tree, followed by suspension and chassis ability, then either power or reliability as the next most important factor. They all want big singles for the first reason, and competition based bikes for the second and 3rd reasons.
I think a multicyl big trailie or supermoto is a nice different and very original idea, and something that most people don't go for, as power and reliability is high, but they are very heavy which is a completely different slant on the ideal requirements for a motard or trail/enduro/adventure bike.
As for the XTZ750 supertenere i think they are a cool bike, and they have over 70bhp! Yamaha 90's build quality is a bit pants though, and if you found an old tatty one, and stripped it back to the frame, then you could build one to a much tougher and better more durable and rust resistant finish than they could ever manage in the factory. |
