Yeah, pretty much!

I'd been seriously looking at a f800GS, but the 200kg (and then some!) was putting me off. That and the dealer servicing costs and the requirment to start wearing beemer undercrackers to go with the branded everything was putting me off...

Oh, and the price of second hand ones!

Also, it's got heated grips. I've commuted 2 winters without them- it's going to be amazing Very Happy

And it means we can green lane together, without the "fun" of someone waiting around on the 'Cat whilst the other goes up the lane and back on the exc...

Although I imagine multijoy will be mocking me royally with his fancy electric start, whilst I try and kick the heck out of the 300. Grrrr...

Surely the biggest off putter would have been the fact they bend shock bolts for fun.
