Just checked mot papers this morning and noticed it expired yesterday.
Que me panicking and starting ringing my usual MOT places. Earliest they can fit me in is in 2 weeks. 2 WEEKS!!!1!!one!!

Then i remembered there's a garage a mile up the road from here who usually has about 8-10 bikes out front so i thought i'd go up and check if they do bike MOT's.
The guy goes "Yes we do but we only do bikes on Fridays. We've been busy with bikes so not sure when we can fit you in. Go ask at the counter and she'll see when we can fit you in."
Oh joy... Today's thursday i'm screwed.

She checks the book and there's a spot for tomorrow at 1! Yay. Day saved. Weekend saved!

No idea how i could forget about MOT. I was sure it was around the 25'th it ran out. I even checked a few weeks ago to make sure lol

Anyone else done this and gone into a mad panic at the thought of losing the bike for a few weeks while the weather's decent?

I guess I'm just lucky. I do find that bike shops seem to get booked up pretty quick but I'm pretty confident that I can get a MOT within 1 hour of finding out that it was due. Just seems to be a lot of garages around here. I only realised today that the standard fee is something like £29. I pay £25 which isn't too bad, wonder who does the cheapest?

It was quite lucky. I was going to go for a ride today but thought i'd better get it booked for MOT so it was out of the way.
It was only when i got the docs out that i noticed it ran out yesterday lol
Could have been a nice fine for me.

I got stopped once (on a Sunday) and was given a producer. Got home, dug out my documents and found my MOT had run out 12 hours prior to the tug.

I was outside the bike MOT place at 8:30am on Monday hoping to convince the bloke to put Saturday's date on the MOT as I would be the first test since then. I remember being suprised to find him already open and a C90 step-through leaving the workshop.

Turns out he's already MOTd the C90. Anyway, a bit of ' You're looking well today, have you been working out' etc and he agreed to backdate the MOT if my bike passed.

Well it passed no problem and then I realised I'd brought no money with me. He let me take the MOT anyway and just asked me to drop the money in next time I went past.

Won't get away with that now in this day of computerised MOTs. Confused
