My wonderful girlfriend got me this for my birthday yesterday. It's a Suomy Spec 1R Extreme. Pretty much impossible to get them in this country and very difficult to get this colour (anthracite) as well.

Wanted this lid for ages and the missus had to import it from LA! Im well chuffed. Although my ladyfriend's dad said it was a little bit "Lady GaGa" Laughing

You need some courage to wear that. I'm confident with my sexuality, but wearing that would be a bit too much for me.

Be prepared that when you will wearing that helmet some other male bikers will find you intriguing, interesting, may follow you or stare at your bum etc. Laughing

Cool lid, nice girlfriend!

How do you find the build quality of Suomy? I had one 6 years ago and it started falling apart, the shop I bought it from replaced it with a new one, only for it to happen again..

Thats the lid I want, but I want the Gambler one, with the cards and dice for graphics!

Can you do a little review on it? How light is it and how noisy is it?

What helmet did you have before it? I want one, but its hard to try one on as no one sells them! I'm a medium in an Arai, but I dont know what I'd be in that!

It looks awesome anyway, its between that design and the gambler one!

I doubt ill get much grief for wearing it. I look like a tall scrote and people tend not to approach me.

It's very light, the visor mechanism is smooth and you can take all of the innards out to wash them and you can buy different size cheek pads for a better fit.

I had/have a Suomy Explorer before this and not had any problems with the Explorer in 4 years. This feels much lighter though whilst feeling sturdier and better quality.

Ive found that my head doesnt fit Shoei/Arai etc due to me having a small but long head (oo er) and even the Suomy only just clears my chin but it's a much better fit than any other make ive had.

Not sure on wind noise but ill test that tomorrow.

Happy Birthday!

Are you sure it's not one of those presents where she says it's for you but it's actually for herself? Laughing

Used to sell these when i worked in a bike shop.

Did a white version aswell.

That was some 3 years ago now though so id guess that lid is a pretty old design?

I think you need a new lady friend. She's taking the piss out of you.

(Mind you, I think I do too, I was promised a torque wrench and some other things and then yesterday she sat bolt up right in her chair @ 4.30PM and asks "Is it your birthday today"?

Rolling Eyes Laughing

Still, no present is better than a gay present. Razz

I think she has emasculated you and is now openly mocking you.

You need to reclaim your manhood now.

Treat her to a pair of Irish sunglasses, do it now, it's the only language they understand.
