Thanks for the response guys/girls.

HELP NEEDED:
I just bought an nsr 2002 plate. Rode it 30 miles home, rode just as it should.

It has an induction filter on it, filthy it was so I took it off and cleaned it. Put it back on( donbt this several times with a cr so know what im doing )

Thing is since then it wont accelerate properly, it seems to hit a wall and then splutter a bit then is fine again, it doesnt do this all the time. I just put a brand new iridium spark plug in it as this seemed the obvious diagnosis.

No change, im no mechanic. Ive tried taking the filter back off and then on again, still no change..

Does anyone have any ideas what it might be?

Gday, hope you're feeling brave.
It takes some minerals to cope with this forum, but if you can ... its [usually] a brilliant place to hang out.

We have a workshop section, normally that's a good place to post Q's like that, cos people will have helpful suggestions (although not always, LOL).

You might like to look in there, see what other people have said, or asked, maybe you can get some ideas from that.

Otherwise ... don't ask me. I have no idea Laughing

Yeah what HK said, this bit is for bike chat...so those of us who know diddly squat about mechanics can happily get involved without shrugging our shoulders and not knowing how to assist.

Go to the Workshop for proper fixing things advice. Thumbs Up

Oh yeah, hello and welcome. Smile

I get this on mine sometimes. Is it usually in first gear at 7-8k revs? (Sometimes 2nd) Once I push through it once, it disappears. I always just thought it was just the bike warming up properly, but im no expert though Confused Its only an occasional thing for me. How long do you warm your bike up for / ride without spanking it?
