Just relax, stick to the rules and don't panic.

Best of British.

Relax. All the test is is a few left turns, a few right turns, a roundabout or two, and emergency stop and a U turn.

Its all dead easy, the only thing that wil get the better of you is nerves. I know this sounds silly, but try to enjoy it like you would any other ride on your bike, it helps you to relax and concentrate. Smile

I've got my test on 19th December. Two things worry me.

1. I'll freeze to death.
2. U-turns (I have a NSR. It turns like a bus).

If the examiner doesn't ask at the start of the test, tell him this.

The examiner asked me at the start of my test what the turning circle was like, I told him it was pretty poor and he gave me an enormous road to do my U-turn on.

A good tip I learnt. If you can't see the examiner in your mirrors and he is nowhere to be seen, keep going, don't slow down, just keep going straight on until you hear otherwise. Also, make sure you go 60 on a national speed limit road (assuming it's a single carriageway), any slower and you could fail very easily.

I failed my first time for going too slow in a national speed limit area, I was going 45-50 because I couldn't see the examiner anywhere and I was waiting for him to catch up. He turned up a few mins later overtaking a row of about 5 cars behind me mind.

When I did my test, the examiner made me push my bike around in the road first to prove that it can turn in that circle. Also, the examiners tend to be fairly clued up, they'll know that NSR's don't turn as well as a CG125! Smile

Just relax. Let the bike do the work. Smile

Good luck and i know its hard but the more you relax the easier you'll find the test. Just remember everything your instructor told you and dont forget your life savers! Smile

That's a good tip. Now, the only problem is, what if I get an examiner who 'didn't get any' last night and makes me do a u-turn on a country lane? Shocked

Good luck mate, I hate tests and always get nervous. Just make sure you don't speed when your trying not to go to slow. My friend used to get told she sped when she was getting her lessons! Auto fail!
