So, I love the I Pad Idea BUT I think it is shit/not fully developed/ a bit of a con.

Anyone recommend me a slate/tablet that does similar things. Or is what I am reading on the webs true that I Pad clones are not coming out until end of the year.

Thanks.

Lenovo makes one, effectively it is just a netbook sans keyboard.

On screen keyboard that you'll end up using 1 handed most of the time = no. If it didn't have an apple logo on it, no one would buy it. Apple have tried to invent something that already existed and wasn't useful.

There is talk of one coming out from india soon that would cost about £20. There is also talk of the US company behind OLPC (One laptop per child, £100 laptops) making a similar device.

It's too big to be my iPhone, it's too small to be my pc, or even my laptop, the whole idea can go away.

From the eBay ad-link at the bottom of the page:

https://cgi.ebay.co.uk/7-TABLET-PC-ANDROID-TOUCH-PAD-Netbook-NOTEBOOK-USA-/160447563868?pt=US_Tablets

Runs Google Android and looks pretty good for 80 quid!

Those chinese android tablets would be decent if they had a processor that was worth a damn in them. As they are they are a bit of a waste of money, get the Dell one if you really want a tablet.
