Haha well i just got me a Cb250 of ebay 1996 picked it up today £100 cash in hand. lost the logbook did a hpi and all numbers matched. battery was flat and rear brake sticking luike buggery ;at taxed in 08. but hey ho for £100 .

got it home got the jump leads out put the choke on and BAM! alive :O

i was expecting some hassle / issues. but nope she breathes. now all i need is a new battery and rip the back wheel off to sort the brake and mot her!! wohooo

things it NEEDS :
logbook £27 ?
mot £27
nattery £21
rear shoes possibly £9
fresh oil £20 (what oil do these use o.O )

so looking at £ 204 + road tax for a working bike with 12 months ticket Thumbs Up
she doesnt look too bad and has a mortax exhaust that looks stainless but the collector box is looking abit rusty Question she's been down the road / droped at some point but hells for £204 or 239( tax is 35 ?) for a bike to save my hornet fuck me my hornets tyres cost more than that, oh and the fact that i will save £10 ish a week on fuel so by x mass she would have paid for her self.

What id like to fit when i have the ££
Heated grips
Hand muffs
crash bars as she is goign to be used in snow etc thats all i can think of
possibly Superdream twin carb setup ?

That isn't a stainless steel exhaust, is it, as I've just ordered a Motad SS one for the YBR... Shocked

I had that same exhaust setup on my CB125. Sounded pretty beefy for a 125. 250's are the perfect winter hacks, no one seems to want them though! I guess passing our test makes you want something bigger than a 125, as does riding for a few years, so nobody really desires a 250. They're loss is your gain i spose! Very Happy
