My bike failed its MOT on a few petty things last month and I need to get it sorted ASAP.

One thing they mentioned was lack of rear reflector which I have now ordered.
Is there a certain place for it to go in relation to lights or anything or is it just a case of put it where it looks best and that will be ok?

MOT places will normally have little button style reflectors that they stick on the numberplate.

From the MOT manual

Statutory reflectors
Mopeds and motor bicycles require one unobscured red reflector which is aligned to the vehicles longitudinal centre line and is positioned to reflect squarely to the rear. If the motorcycle is fitted with a side car the side car will also require a reflector fitted towards the nearside and positioned to reflect squarely to the rear.

If they charge you more than £3 for the reflector you have been robbed.

I actually bought my own for £2.99.
Just need to stick that on and stop the rear break binding (very slight) and I'm good to go.

I was told by the dealer that it has to be in the centre line of the bike. I.e. in the middle of the numberplate. It can't be in the corner.

My MOT chap stuck a little round button reflector in the bottom right of my plate. It had genuinely fallen off by the time I got home Rolling Eyes
