 Posted: 11:19 - 18 Aug 2010 Post subject: Wavy Disks - Any recommendations/places to get them? |
 |
|
Hi All,
Im looking at swapping the disks on my bike (600RR RR7), currently I have got the stock Honda disks on.
However, 21k on the bike and living directly on the seafront has got them in less than perfect nic, they're not terrible but am thinking of replacing them soon.
With the above in mind, any answers to the below questions would help;
1) are wavy disks generally as good or better than OEM for performance?
2) anyone know of decent places (online shops are fine) for disks, seems to be a lot of choice out there, but not so sure on this one.
3) has anyone got any specific recommendations of disks they've used on a 600/1000 sports bike?
Cheers

Cheers Ham,
I had thought that i'd never seen them on a proper racebike, and thats partly what got me wondering.
The ones I have have good feel and could easily lock the front if applied in such a way, stoppies are also possible.
I'm not too into the tart value to be honest, more the functionality, certainly out of such a critical component.
Cheers for the advice ____________________ Current Bikes: Honda CBR 600RR - '07, Suzuki GSX1250 FA ST '11

Try Stealth and see how their prices stack up.
Never used them, but know a few who have been happy. ____________________ Just because my bike was A DIVVY, does not mean i am...... |
