Whilst sorting out my VFR for when I get back into work and can finally get it on the road, been thinking about looking at a stubby exhaust for it..

Anyone able to recommend are particular brand (cheaper = better, but don't want to have it too loud, as in, annoying the neighbours loud or have it falling apart quickly) ..?

The exhaust atm is the standard r/h side low level stock can, about 10 feet long (i exaggerate, but its HUUUGGEEE) and ugly as sin.

Would I need to do anything to the engine (jets etc) if I swapped the exhaust for a stubby or even another can (scorpian/blue flame etc).

Thanks.

Before I bought the ZZR I was looking at VFR's, they where a little out of budget unfortunatly Sad

Anyway, one of the things I really wanted was the pipe riser to bring it clear of the back wheel, IMO it looks alot neater like that Thumbs Up Although I understand the riser is pretty hard to come by now.

Can't be any more helpful than that unfortunatly.

Thats partially why I want a stubby, it makes viewing the bike from the side a lot nicer... I like having the centre stand, otherwise I'd just got for a l/h side exhaust system, need to get new downpipes anyway due to a big hole in the mild steel ones on there already).

I'd like something similar to the newer stubby exhausts where its literally at the bottom of the bike without the link pipe connecting it to the exhaust hanger so the whole wheel can be viewed.

something like this:

The only downside, is lack of cash funds to get something like a racefit or a growler (I hear good things!).. So cheapness is the key Sad
