Hi

I've searched for this, but all i seem to be getting is results on bikers streetfightering their bandit bith dual headlights.

I'm actually looking to keep my fairing, and keep the bike exactly as it is, but i just want both the headlights to work simultanously rather than the standard lopsided look.

I have heard whispers that this can kill battery life? and how expensive and how easy a modification is this?

My bandit is a 600cc S model (2000)

Thanks in advance

V

The Gen2 faired Bandit headlights are single filament "projector" type bulbs, you need twin filament H4 bulbs to have them both on dipped and main......but.... these bulbs won't fit the holder and you've got the wrong reflectors to use them.
Simple way round it is to leave them on main beam all the time and blind everyone Very Happy

thanks bezzer> thats a bit of a bummer.

However, my first option: is there a conversion kit or something that i can buy, with a set of different holders that will allow me to have the correct bulbs, thus allowing dip and full beam on both lights?

My second option: I've thought of riding around on full beam, but the full beam is so much brighter than the dipped, and so it looks lopsided again lol. So is there a way of angling the full beam one down to math the dipped? or is it all pretty much fixed?

I remember seeing a bandit with both lioghts on the way i want, i regret not catching up to him and asking how he did it now. Sad

Thanks

V

To do the job properly you will need to change the complete lighting circuit and fit a relay which connects directly to the battery via a fuse and then use you headlight on/off switch to trigger the relay a second relay is needed for the high beam which is triggers by the high beam switch and you will need to change the reflectors and the lamp holders, if you use the existing wiring it wil not last very long nor will your battery which would really need upgrading as you are using twice as much power.

wow, oh okay, it seems like more hassle than its worth.

Which, to be honest, is the vibe that i get from both of you, and now i understand why. Spending that much time and effort to get both lights working purely for vanity seems like wasted effort. Well thanks for the info guys!
