Hi guys,

I have recently become the owner of a 2006 Honda CBR 125cc. It just passed it's MOT but the rear tyre is down to just over 1mm. I obviously need to get some new rubber and wondered if anyone had any advice as to the best kind to get?

I do a hack of 7miles a day to the train station Mon to Friday with the occasional (once every two weeks) 180 mile round trip to Bath. It also tends to do 80 - 90 miles at the weekend just in general running around.

I want to make sure i've got the right rubber to last me through the winter too. Your help is greatly appreciated.

Not a great size range, but the Avons i had were fine...took ages to warm up though.
Look at some Continentals.

The Continental Conti Go tires i have seem to be the best i have tried. I had the OEM tyres, Bridgestone BT39ss (mega grip/short life span), Michelin Pilot Sporties (Take a while to warm up and front end grip not so good in wet) and the Conti Go's.

If you are wanting long life and decent grip the Continentals are fine.
