Well not you personally ariel, there are as always a few expections. I just tend to find that people from the west coast tend to be a bit fucking weird, like corduroy wearing, escort driving, cider drinking people who talk funny.

Draw a line from Colchester, west to Bedford and straight to Grimsby. Everything to the right of this is a big and flat, weird and country bumpkin, but fuck all to do with North.

Personally I don't feel North until i've passed Stoke on Trent in the West or Sheffield in the east. (Both on the two major routes north for convenience of the explanation).

Everything north of Milton Keynes but not as far as the aforementioned North, is this weird midlands affair which is rather grey, industrial and seldom makes a lot of sense.

Furthest North i've been on this island is Lancaster in the West and Middlebrough in the East.

Beyond that is proper "Here be Dragons" territory as far as i'm concerned.

I'm not sure where you got your map from, but it was clearly not a Southerner who drew it up as Southampton is in the wrong place by quite a few miles!!

Anyone living north of Birmingham = Northern Monkey,
Anyone living in Wales = sheep fiddler.
Anyone living in Scotland = sweaty sock.
Anyone living in Hampshire = got to much money.
Anyone living on the east side of London = chav.
Any one living on the west side of London= sound as a pound mate.
