That just goes to show how well built modern cars are, compeared to cars from thirty to forty years ago.

If the little sh*t had stolen it ..shame he survived

The odds on that happening. Just losing control right there, launching the car into a bridge. Thats a 1 in a million accident there!

Looked great tho!

A police camera captured footage of the Pontiac Firebird

Quote:
The Pontiac Firebird was built by the Pontiac division of General Motors between 1967 and 2002. The Firebird was introduced the same year as its platform-sharing cousin, the Chevrolet Camaro. This coincided with the release of the 1967 Mercury Cougar, which shared its platform with another pony car, the Ford Mustang.

The vehicles were, for the most part, powered by various V8 engines of different GM divisions. While primarily Pontiac-powered until 1977, Firebirds were built with several different engines from nearly every GM division until 1982 when all Pontiac engines were dropped in favor of corporate units.[1]

Not really modern car.

EDIT: Unless it was a 2002 version.

Trans Am is a Firebird, it's just the spec, refers to the V8 usually rather than the V6 versions. That one in the video looks like an older one, upto 92 model as it's not the modern 93+ shape. He's lucky about that as the newer ones are entirely fibreglass so would've exploded in an even bigger shower of bits. It looks like he's just managed to spin 180 when he hit the pillar so infact only glanced it with the side of the car rather than t-boned it or hit it full on which would've been the end for him.

That's something I'd expect to see in a movie...

Awesome none the less.
