i've just fitted new aftermarket rear indicators on my '94 nsr (after i backed it into a bloody wall whilst parking) they don't look too bad ,nice little carbon jobbies .Now heres where the probs start now instead of a nice blinking action when negotiating turns a get a sort of amber strobe that makes anyone under 25 start dancing and anyone over 50 start fitting!!!!
Of the two wires i took the green as the negative as it was the same on each side and the other as the positive .
I'm not sure if i have fudged the wiring or not as they work and usually my wiring ends up in flames.
So if anyone cam help me i'd be very grateful

As far as I know, it does not matter about getting -ve and +ve the wrong way round, it's only a lamp.

Check the wattage of the lamps in the indicators, they probably don't match the wattage of your old ones.

What Carvell said.

Its probably the Wattage of your new lamps are different from the old ones and the relay does not want to play.

I bought about 4 different relays from different places in the same day, arsing about with mine a while back, in the end I just gave up and took the whole lot back.

All you need is a relay to match the power of the lamps.

They less than a fiver from halfords.

60 or 120 times a minute to pass your MOT, if I remember correctly.

Razz.

The "my indicators flash too fast" thing happens almost all the time with Motrax aftermarket ones. Just live with it.

Or you could replace the bulbs in the flashers for higher wattage ones.

yeah i think a bulb swop could be easier i know where they are ,finding the relays could prove difficult.Plus the indictors on the front are standard and that might complicate things .I'm at work till tuesday but i'll try a bulb swop in the week and let you know if it solves my prob .Thanks for the help lads
