its right at the top near the engine.
i was able to wobble it and it looks like there is already a can or exhaust cover on it but will take it of and have a propper look if its a small hole then will try the gun gum but if not ill have to get it welded. if by any dout none of these work then where would i be able to to get a new down pipe for a yamaha rxs 100 instead of a full exhaust cos mine is in perfect condition its just the down pipe that has let me down ____________________ LOUDMATTER |

Gun Gum & jubilee clip(s) is the way to go. Clean round the hole, apply Gun Gun, wait till it's almost hard then add jubilee clip and tighten (but not fully). The almost set Gun Gum is squeezed into the hole and sets there, giving a good seal. Tighten fully (but don't overdo it, as that may enlarge the hole) once the GG is fully hardened. Use stainless clips as the standard steel one tend to rust and seize up, as they're exposed to all the crap and weather down there.
My pipe has been fixed using this method for a while and passed three MOTs like it:

There's a fairly large hole either side of the notorious bracket that bolts to the frame. Never yet had a downpipe rust through though, oddly. ____________________ The RXS100: vehicle of choice for Chuck Norris |
