A friend of mine got hit by a pheasant on the M25 a couple of years ago. He was doing about 70 at the time.

It broke his nose, but he managed to keep the bike on the road and stop safely.

I've also seen a report in a newspaper which got featured on MSN about somebody who was killed by a pheasant, so I guess my friend was lucky.

I hit a Pheasant at about 45mph. The bastard was stood in the middle of the road (on the white line) as i was coming round a corner, it decided to fly across right infront of me.

End story was it hitting me in the chest/face, me getting winded and having a sore neck. I pulled over, when i took my lid off it was covered in feathers.

I couldnt find the bird as it had went off into the bushes/trees at the side of the road.

All in all, I wouldnt want to hit one of the bastards again, it hurts!

Never been hit by a bird, but a tree hit me once, well part of a tree. Was going home along the embankment in London, and there's a part where you go under some trees, it was a windy day and this biggish branch snapped and glanced my lid, cue me zig-zagging along the road trying to keep the bike up. Scary.

Never been hit by a bird, thank god.
I have been hit square in the chest by a trainer at 80+!
It was flicked up by the car in front .
I managed to stay upright but it left a shoe shaped bruise on my chest that lasted for weeks.
I also got hit right on the nose by the biggest bee in the world! , now that really did hurt.
That`ll teach me not to have my visor down
I was only doing about 50 that time and the funny thing was that I could see it coming but could`nt do anything about it as it all happened to fast.
I looked like i was wearing a clowns nose for a couple of days after that
I used to wear glasses in those days so my eyes were protected and thats why my visor was up.

been hit by many i know what you mean you can see them comingi normall just tilt my head forwards so they dont hit me necka nd get stuck in my garments they make a great 'PING' noise when they hit you especially the big ones.

never been hit by a bird though... sounds a bit shitty!

my mate had a honda monkey for years and he was ahooligan on it, mangaed to kill two sheep on it and injure another. he was alright always went flying but so low to the ground and he was lucky. gear is good
