Had my R1 for two years now and decided to get something just as fun but something to slow me down a bit and have some character.
Ive owned a Triumph before and loved the sound and torque so here is my new toy, 2005 1050 speed triple. So far Ive fitted gold fatbars and risers, a tail tidy and smaller plate. The exhausts are Triumph race cans and sound the nuts Laughing
For now Im keeping both bikes but the R1 may be sold nearer the summer

the cans are Triumphs own race cans (TORS) and sound brilliant. I got the pair, brand new, fitted and with a new software tune for £109 all in!!!! I would like Arrows or similar but these cost anywere from £400 - £650 so for now I will settle for the Triumph race cans. Laughing

I like it, but the gold rad cowls is that little bit to much.

+1

The rest of the gold, I could live with. But those radiator cowls & guards push it OTT and make it all rather tacky.

Great bike though. Not so sure it'll slow you down all that much, unless you're used to regular 3 figure speeds on the R1.

Rad cowls came with the bike. The original owner had the wheels painted gold before he even took delivery of the bike. I fitted the gold bars myself.
I have to admit the R1 brings out the worst in me but I tend to stay below three figure speeds on the Triumph

Ditch the cans and buy a MIVV carbon exhaust.
The weight difference is worth it, let alone the sound.

9000 miles, 1 owner, £4300 delivered from Isle of White to Plymouth. The bike is totally mint. I agree about the size of the cans, they look exactly like the standard ones but i just cannot afford anything else right now, unless I sell the R1!
