Latex / HTML / Word help

I am so lost it's unbelievable...

Consider the table below, which gives a number of typographical tasks and a set of packages to implement these in. In the cell write under the table the mechanism to achieve that task in that package:

Emphasis with italics and bold
Bulleted Lists
Numbered Lists
Main Headings
To produce a Table of Contents
To make a cross Reference to a Page number
To make a cross Reference to a Figure number

Basically how would you do those 7 for Latex, word and html?

I'm guessing the first one would be
Latex: \bf and \it, html would be and , word ctrl b and ctrl i???
If I can learn all these commands and a few more I'm gold, if not I'm screwed.

You realise that neither LaTeX (at least use the proper capitalisation!) nor HTML has built in functions for either of those? Most LaTeX distros will include a TOC function, and facilities to make a list of figures, but I don't recall anything to add hotlinks to them (which I guess you're trying to do with your link to page bit)

HTML really isn't suited for document markup, it's good for webpages, but really not designed for essays etc, if you want to do automated TOC etc then you're into some form of scripting to generate it for you.
