cbr600f 1990 33bhp restriction? how-to?

Hi, I have had a cbr600f 1990 for a few months now, been working on it, getting it running cleaning her up and i'm about to take my restricted motorcycle test which limits me to riding a 33bhp bike for 2 years, sadly the only means of restricting bikes around here (This is in the UK) is by taking it to a service station and they buy the kit from https://www.fiinternational.com/ShowD...00F&type=Honda
I realllly do not want to spend around £200 to restrict my bike, it's a complete ripoff, as far as I know it is just 4 washers with a hole cut into the middle that sit in the valves for the restriction.

I am wondering if it is possible to make these washers and homebrew the restriction myself, If anyone know what size washers + hole diameter or if it needs any other form of restriction (throttle stop? slide stops?) I would be greatly thankful, or even if there is a cheaper method to restricting it (ebay kits? I'v searched, found nothing so far).

Only problem with doing it yourself is you won't have the certificate. That's what you're paying for really is the certificate.

But remember the certificate has absolutely no legal standing. It has no more legal authority than a piece of bog roll with 'my bike iz restricted' written on it!

If it's the same as my bike there are just four washers that go in the inlet rubbers between the carbs and the engine, it's a really quick job (30 minutes) once you know how to do it, and a restrictor kit shouldn't cost you that much from ebay, (try looking on the for sale section of this and other forums aswell!)

If you can't find a second hand kit then yeah getting them machined is the next best option! DO NOT pay someone to restrict your bike for you OR for a certificate!!

Haha Rag, what you need to find are the dimensions, getting some made up will be easy, will take about 10 minutes to whip up 8 gaskets and fitting them is easy also

dont bother going by fi international. rip off. the washer diameters for my 98 fazer were 38mm outer 12mm inner, 2mm pilot hole.
